The second Quarter of 2019 has been an incredible period for Optima with a record 6 deals completing in an 8 week period from late March to late May, which contributed to success at the Recruitment International (now TALiNT International) Supplier Awards where we won The Best Corporate Finance / M&A Provider.
Of the 6 recent deals, 2 were acquisitions, 1 was an MBO and three were sales. This mix illustrates perfectly our range of activities and supports our view that the M&A market is very much open for business. Our clients included an overseas acquirer, a search firm and one business to which we have provided advisory services for more than 10 years, so it was particularly gratifying to advise these shareholders on their exit.
We have plenty more transactions in the pipeline and there seems to be no change in the appetite of acquirers or the healthy level of business owners seeking to exit, keeping the M&A market balanced and buoyant. We are looking forward to an exciting second half of 2019.
